Agency quick-start: your first 15 minutes with Faro

A step-by-step guide for agencies: scan your first client, share a report, set up monitoring, and invite your team.

Welcome to Faro Agency. This guide walks you through the five things to do in your first session, from scanning your first client domain to sending them a branded report link.

Step 1, Run your first client scan

Go to Dashboard → AI Readiness Scan. Enter your client's domain and click Scan. The scan takes about 30 seconds and checks 18 signals across six categories. Your Agency plan saves every scan automatically, so you'll have a full history for each client.

The score appears immediately. Anything below 70 has meaningful gaps. Below 50 means the client is nearly invisible to AI agents, that's your opening pitch.

Step 2, Share the report with your client

In Dashboard → Scans, find the scan you just ran. Click the amber Share button. Faro generates a unique shareable link and copies it to your clipboard.

Send that link to your client. They open it in any browser, no login, no account needed. They see a full branded report page showing their score, category breakdown, and every issue. There's a Download PDF button on the page. The link stays active for 90 days.

Step 3, Set up weekly monitoring

Go to Dashboard → Monitoring and add your client's domain. Every Monday at 8am UTC, Faro re-scans it and emails you a report showing the score change, what moved, and the top fixes. Agency plan allows up to 25 monitored domains simultaneously.

This is your hands-off proof of value, clients see scores going up over time as you implement fixes.

Step 4, Download or print a PDF report

In Scans, click the PDF button next to any scan. A print-ready PDF opens in a new tab. If you've uploaded your agency logo in Settings → Branding, it appears in the report header instead of the Faro logo. White-label reports are included in the Agency plan.

Step 5, Invite your team

Go to Dashboard → Settings → Team. Enter team member email addresses. They'll receive an invite and get immediate Agency-level access. You have 25 seats included. Team members can run scans, view history, and generate client links, all under your account.

What to do next

Once you've scanned a client, the highest-impact fixes are usually in this order: (1) Agent Permissions, unblock AI crawlers in robots.txt, (2) Structured Data, add JSON-LD Organization schema, (3) Pricing Transparency, ensure pricing is server-rendered. These three changes typically move a score from 30–40 range to 60–70.

Use the fix prompts inside each failed check, they're written to be given directly to a developer. For clients with access to Claude Code, the prompts can be pasted in directly.
