These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Faro, operated by Faro (“we”, “us”, “our”) at byfaro.ai. By using Faro, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Faro on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
Faro provides AI readiness auditing tools that analyze publicly accessible websites and generate reports on their discoverability to AI agents and language models. Tools include, without limitation: the AI Readiness Scan, the llms.txt Generator, and future tools made available on the platform.
Faro is offered on a free tier (limited usage) and paid subscription tiers (expanded usage limits, advanced features, and monitoring). The specific features and limits of each tier are described on the Pricing page, which may be updated from time to time.
You may use Faro to audit websites that you own, operate, or have explicit permission to analyze. You must not:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including accounts that consume disproportionate resources relative to their subscription tier.
The free tier is provided for individual evaluation and low-volume legitimate use. We impose rate limits on the free tier and reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. If your usage patterns suggest automation, scraping, or commercial-scale use without a paid subscription, we may restrict your access and invite you to upgrade.
Free tier usage does not entitle you to service-level guarantees, uptime commitments, or priority support. These are available on paid plans.
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout. All payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate applicable to your chosen plan.
Monthly billing. Monthly subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing month. You retain full access until then.
Annual billing. Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of each 12-month term. Annual plans are offered at a discounted rate relative to monthly billing. By purchasing an annual plan, you commit to the full 12-month term. Annual subscription fees are paid in advance and are non-refundable in full. There are no refunds, prorated or otherwise, for cancellations made during the annual term. You will retain access to the platform for the remainder of the paid term after cancellation and will not be charged at renewal. If you are unsure whether Faro is right for you, we recommend starting on a monthly plan before committing to an annual subscription.
Refunds. All subscription fees are non-refundable. Because Faro delivers immediate value: your scan runs, your score is generated, and your data is available from the moment you subscribe, we treat each billing period as fully consumed upon payment. Monthly subscribers who cancel will not receive a refund for the remaining days in their billing month. Annual subscribers who cancel will not receive a refund for any portion of the remaining annual term. We will not issue refunds for partial billing periods, unused features, or change-of-mind cancellations. Exceptions apply only where required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing the price of an active subscription. You may cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not agree to it. For annual subscribers, price changes take effect at the start of the next annual renewal term.
Faro's IP. The Faro platform, including its scoring methodology, design, software, and branding, is our intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any part of Faro.
Your data. You retain all ownership of websites and data you submit to Faro for analysis. Scan results generated by Faro are yours to use. We may use aggregated, anonymized data about scan results to improve the service and publish industry statistics. We will never identify your business in published statistics without your consent.
Output license. Faro grants you a non-exclusive license to use reports, llms.txt files, and other outputs generated by the service for your own business purposes.
Faro Assistant and AI-powered tools. Certain features on the Faro platform, including the Faro Assistant chatbot and AI-powered generators (such as the llms.txt Generator, Schema Creator, and fix recommendations), use large language model APIs to generate responses. AI-generated content is provided for informational and convenience purposes only. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated output before implementing it on your website or using it in a professional context.
AI-generated content does not constitute legal, technical, marketing, financial, or any other form of professional advice. Faro makes no representations about the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated outputs. Do not rely on AI-generated content as a substitute for professional judgment.
By using AI-powered features, you acknowledge that your inputs may be transmitted to third-party AI providers (including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Perplexity) for processing. Do not enter confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information into AI-powered tools.
Faro analyzes publicly available signals and provides scores based on our methodology. Scores and recommendations are informational. They do not guarantee search engine rankings, AI model recommendations, or any specific business outcome. The AI landscape is evolving rapidly; what constitutes “AI readiness” may change as models and agents develop.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FARO'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FARO IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with a change, your remedy is to cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
