How to use the Revenue Impact Calculator
Turn your AI readiness score into an estimated monthly revenue gap, with conservative, expected, and optimistic scenarios.
The Revenue Impact Calculator converts your AI readiness score into a dollar estimate of the revenue you're likely losing to poor AI agent visibility. It's built for the conversation after the score: "okay, but what is this actually costing me?"
Running the calculator
Enter your domain, your industry, and your approximate monthly traffic. Faro scans your site (the same 45 checks across seven categories as the AI Readiness Scan), then combines your score with sector-level AI adoption and conversion benchmarks to estimate the gap.
What you get back
Five outputs: your AI readiness score and grade; your estimated AI recommendation rate, the share of AI recommendation queries in your sector where your site is likely to be cited; the industry benchmark rate, what a fully optimised competitor in your category achieves; your monthly lost recommendations, the volume going to competitors instead of you; and three monthly revenue scenarios, conservative, expected, and optimistic, plus an annualised total.
How the estimate is built
The calculator uses conservative benchmarks, not best-case assumptions: Ahrefs 2026 AI-referred traffic data (AI-referred traffic grew 9.7x year over year), sector-level AI recommendation penetration rates, and average conversion values per AI-referred visit. It's designed to understate the gap rather than overstate it. Conservative assumes a slow AI-adoption curve for your sector, expected uses the current trajectory, optimistic models accelerated adoption. Expected is the most likely outcome based on current data.
What to do with the number
Use it to prioritise. If the gap is small, AI readiness is a nice-to-have. If it's material relative to your revenue, run the full AI Readiness Scan and start with the highest-impact fixes: unblocking AI crawlers, adding structured data, and server-rendering your pricing. Re-run the calculator after fixes to see the gap close.
